Your main water line is the underground pipe that brings water from the municipal supply or your well directly into your home.
A break can cause massive waste and an open invitation for bacteria and debris to contaminate your water.
If broken, you need expertise, not guesswork. We give you cutting-edge leak detection and repairs that last.
Living in a country home, the client’s water service extends 200 yards from the street to the house. After an inspection, we didin’t find leaks in the house. So we started checking outside along the main water line.
It was dumping rain. Puddles and splashing everywhere. Not ideal for finding a water leak.
We brought in a team with special equipment who located the issue quickly. One of the fittings had cracked and split open.
BEFORE. Main water lines can fail from a range of issues: high water pressure, heavy vehicles, root systems, and age. This one had an unnecessary dog leg that added extra pressure and cracked in the corner.
Fortunately, the location of the break was not close to any sewer lines, animal pens or areas with lawn chemicals.
A broken main water line isn’t just an expensive inconvenience; it can raise your water bill and be a significant health hazard when contaminants are brought into the house.
The problem area was uncovered, repaired with better-than-original materials, and re-graded to the homeowner’s satisfaction.
AFTER. We removed the pipe bend that caused undue stress and made a solid repair with new quality parts that will perform better than the original.
Water tastes weird or looks discolored? Could be soil or bacteria sneaking in.
Water bill spiking out of nowhere? Hidden leaks can waste thousands of gallons of water (and your money).
Low water pressure? A break may be restricting water flow.
Cracked walkways or settled cement? Water leaks may be eroding soil underneath.
Puddles in your yard? You might have a backyard swamp forming—which is great if you're a duck, not so great for your home.
PEX piping. Flexible, durable, and resistant to cracking, rather than PVC that can leach chemicals into your water.
Copper piping. A premium, long-lasting option that resists bacterial growth.
Protective sleeves. Added protection from tree roots and environmental factors.

Finding a leak underground is part science, part art. And with the Pacific Northwest’s rain and rugged terrain, it’s practically a superpower. Together with partners of leak-location specialists, we help you…
Look out for low water pressure, unexplained high water bills, discolored water, or soggy areas in your yard. These signs indicate potential leaks or contamination.
Maybe, maybe not! We use trenchless replacement methods whenever possible to minimize disruption. But if excavation is needed, we’ll keep it as tidy as possible.
Costs depend on the pipe material, repair method, and extent of damage. Minor fixes may be a few hundred dollars, while full replacements can cost thousands. So it’s good to get a plumber there sooner than later to evaluate.
