1. Scope of Work
Stars & Stripes Plumbing provides residential plumbing services as described in the written estimate, invoice, or
work authorization. Services outside the approved scope require separate authorization. Septic system service is
not provided.
2. Dispatch / Service Fee
A dispatch or service fee applies to diagnosis, estimates, and emergency response. The customer acknowledges
this fee is earned once a technician is dispatched and is non-refundable if the appointment is canceled after
dispatch.
3. Estimates & Authorization
Pricing is provided after on-site evaluation. Work begins only after customer approval (written, digital, or recorded
verbal). Additional work requires separate authorization.
4. Payment Terms & Lien Notice
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Under State law, the Company maintains the right to file a lien against property for unpaid
labor or materials. This notice is provided in accordance with Washington RCW 60.04.
5. Scheduling & Emergencies
Same-day service is reserved for true emergencies such as active leaks, burst pipes, or sewer backups.
Weekend service is not offered. Appointment times are estimated arrival windows.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide safe and clear access to work areas and disclose known plumbing or property issues.
Stars & Stripes Plumbing is not responsible for delays or damages caused by unsafe or inaccessible conditions.
7. Concealed Conditions
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, code violations, or concealed conditions. Additional repairs
required due to hidden conditions will be discussed and approved separately.
8. Property Protection
Reasonable care is taken to protect the property. Cosmetic repairs (including drywall, paint, flooring, or
landscaping) are not included unless stated in writing.
9. Warranties
Labor warranties, if offered, are stated on the invoice. Manufacturer warranties apply to installed products. Warranties do not cover misuse, freezing, lack of maintenance, work altered by others or force majeure.
12. Intellectual Property & Website Use
All copyright, trademarks, and intellectual property on our website and related materials are owned by Stars & Stripes Plumbing LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or commercialize any content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
13. Third-Party Websites & Embedded Content
Our website may include hyperlinks or references to third-party websites and providers.
We do not monitor or review third-party content. Products or services offered by these websites are subject to their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for any content, opinions, privacy practices, or losses resulting from use of third-party sites.
14. Website Access
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. Prohibited actions include distributing malware, unauthorized data collection, or interfering with site operations.
15. Idea Submissions & IP
Please do not submit unsolicited ideas or intellectual property without a signed agreement. Any such disclosure grants us a worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it.
16. Privacy & Data Collection
We collect personal information (name, phone, email, service address, voice recordings, chat logs) when you submit forms, contact us, or request services. We do not sell or share your data with marketing third parties or data brokers. Customer data is used to schedule services, respond to inquiries, send reminders/notifications, improve services, and manage memberships/portals.
Cookies may be used for convenience (e.g., saving comment details) or session management. Embedded content may involve third-party cookies/tracking.
You have rights to access, edit, export, or request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements). Web comments and metadata may be retained indefinitely for spam detection and follow-ups.
17. Messaging & 10DLC Compliance
By providing your mobile number, you opt-in to receive SMS messages for appointment reminders, service notifications, account updates, promotions, and maintenance. Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply.
Opt-out: Text STOP to (425) 244-6349 (or the number provided in messages). We will confirm via SMS reply, and you will no longer receive messages. To opt-in: Text START or contact support. For help: Text HELP, or email service@starsandstripes.plumbing.
We are not liable for delayed/undelivered SMS/MMS messages. Please contact your carrier for plan questions.
18. Language
These Terms and Conditions are written and interpreted exclusively in English. All correspondence related to Company services, agreements and terms will be conducted in English.
19. Access & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access or services for violations of these terms. Continued use of our systems constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
20. Waiver & Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stars and Stripes Plumbing LLC from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms or applicable State or Federal laws.
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any part of this agreement.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Washington law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service
performed.
22. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Washington.
Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Washington. If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
23. Acceptance
By scheduling service or authorizing work, the customer agrees to these Terms of Service.
24. Entire Agreement & Updates
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy practices described herein, constitute the entire agreement. We may update these terms from time to time; continued interaction and use of company services/systems indicates acceptance.
